Ἑκατὸ χρόνια πέρασαν ἀπὸ τότε ποὺ ὁ Ρῶσος συγγραφέας Γεβγένι Ζαμιάτιν (1884-1937) ἔγραψε τὸ δυστοπικό του ἔργο «Ἐμεῖς». Τὸ ἔγραψε τὸ 1920 καὶ ποτὲ δὲν ἐκδόθηκε στὴ Σοβιετικὴ Ἕνωση. Τὸ 1924 ἐκδόθηκε στὰ ἀγγλικά, καὶ τὸ 1929 στὰ γαλλικά. Ἀκολούθησε ἡ ἔκδοσή του σὲ πολλὲς ἄλλες γλῶσσες, μεταξὺ τῶν ὁποίων στὴν Ἑλληνική, ἀπὸ τὶς ἐκδόσεις «Πλέθρον», τὸ 1978, σὲ μετάφραση Ἀλίκης Ἀλεξανδράκη.
