Being a civilized country means respect for international law. In the case of Russia, where even the internal legislation is omitted to serve the ruling political power, Ukrainian prisoners of war go through hell on Earth in captivity. Torture, abuse, rapes, ill-treatment: these are ‘normal’ practices in the ‘country of prisons,’ as Russia is sometimes called. In this special report, UATV dives into the horrors of captivity and compares the conditions of life of Russian POWs in Ukraine with what Ukrainians face in Russia.
