In absence of International community officials, diplomats, NATO, UN representatives, without the presence of cameras and global media, in heavy sadness and silence Serbs in Srebrenica and the area mark 21 years since the massacre of 69 Serbian civilians and soldiers which took place on the day of one of the greatest Orthodox holidays, St. Peter’s day in 1992. The commemoration is held in the villages of Srebrenica area, Zalazje, Sase as well as in Biljača and Zagoni near Bratunac. In addition to 69 massacred, there are 22 Serbs still missing meanwhile seven were captured alive and have never been seen again.
