The trade and prosperity of a country as well as its intellectual and cultural life depend on a flourishing world trade to such an extent that we must never tire of stressing the need for international economic co-operation. Although the leading economists in practically all countries have directed attention again and again to the national losses resulting from the world-wide economic depression, and have endeavoured to formulate recommendations for a real improvement, ignorance of the steps that must be taken to effect this purpose is still quite general, and there are no signs of a vigorous policy intended to reanimate trade intercourse between the various nations. Seeing that questions affecting world trade are always sure to attract intelligent interest in a country like Great Britain, I am glad of this opportunity for stating once more my views on these matters, more especially in so far as they affect the attitude of the new Germany towards world trade. I shall try to give a brief account of the conditions which, in my opinion, must be fulfilled before we can look forward to a genuine economic recovery throughout the world.

When the National Socialist party acquired power on January 30th, 1933, German agriculture was on the brink of ruin. Some 12,000,000,000 reichsmarks of new debt had been contracted by farmers between 1924 (when the currency was stabilised) and 1932. The area covered by the farmsteads sold by auction during that period was about equal to that of Thuringia. The proceeds derived from the sale of farm produce decreased from some 10,000,000,000 reichsmarks in 1928-9 to 6,400,000,000 reichsmarks in 1932/3 – an amount insufficient to recover the cost of production. On the other hand, farmers had to pay high rates of taxes and interest and heavy social charges. As early as 1930, the National Socialist party directed public attention to the desperate state of the farming industry and asked that the country’s agricultural policy should pay increased attention to these matters, more especially by creating new legislation dealing with farm property, by regulating markets and by setting up a corporate system of self-administration. These demands have now been satisfied under the National Socialist regime. Some 700,000 hereditary farms (Erbhöfe) have been created and about 40 per cent. of the soil used for agricultural purposes has thus been liberated from the arbitrary interference of professional speculators in real estate. The law enacted to that end has strengthened the farmer’s connection with the soil he tills and has secured his rights of possession. Besides, the charges on farm property have been reduced to a reasonable level, partly by lowering the rates of interest and facilitating the repayment of debts and partly by granting tax abatement.

Earlier this year I stumbled upon some YouTube videos from a German news source called “Klagemauer TV” which offers alternative news reports and views on current events primarily in the German language, but also often with translations in a variety of languages. I found them quite good, but generally within the normal realm of topics covered by the alternative media concerning such topics as Geo-politics, finance, vaccines, chemtrails, etc. Recently, however, I again came across several more of their reports that really caught my attention and wish to share with my audience.

The following are the words of Adolf Hitler (English translation) from a 1922 speech regarding the influence of Jewish High-Finance in post-WWI Germany and how he, as a Christian, felt it was his moral duty to expose and oppose this force (along with Marxist-Communism and unbridled free market Capitalism) which he obviously believed had brought about the financial, economic, and industrial collapse of Weimar Germany, and had created political and social chaos and despair, as well as, moral and cultural decay in Germany. He believed it was essential to re-instill traditional German Christian values and morals into the society in order to begin correct the problems, as he saw them. He re-affirmed this consistently, from his early days of political activism through to, and including, his years as the Chancellor, in peace-time and in the war years. Whether or not the reader agrees with his beliefs or his analysis, is irrelevant. It was his own analysis of the problems facing his nation, his firm conviction, and obviously was shared by the majority of Germans who elected his party to power. The following excerpts demonstrate how strongly Adolf Hitler felt about the matter, his firm faith in Christ, his moral stance, and the courage of his convictions to act, based upon his faith, from which he was unwavering to the end. When he came to power in 1933, he reaffirmed this in the Proclamation to the German People, a segment of which is also included. Thus, it is not a theory, but a matter of historical record:

The nineteenth century witnessed so much educational progress in the domain of intellectual refinement that it may be justly described as the century of education. Germany took a leading part in this development, and her educational system was universally acknowledged to be particularly efficient. Many foreigners therefore availed themselves of the educational facilities Germany had to offer. If we now see that, despite these splendid achievements, the Third Reich has seen fit to make a radical change in the system of education, we may feel sure that it has been done for very good reasons.

Adolf Hitler’s ‘Barbarossa’ Proclamation
On the morning of June 22, 1941, Reich Minister Joseph Goebbels announced to the world the startling news that German forces, together with Finnish and Romanian troops, had struck against the vast Soviet Union. On German radio he read Adolf Hitler’s historic proclamation justifying the attack. Among other things, he said that Stalin had massed some 160 divisions to strike westwards. In reality, more than 300 Soviet divisions were assembled against Germany and Europe. Hitler and his generals had thereby greatly underestimated the Soviet danger — a fateful miscalculation that ultimately proved catastrophic, and not just for Germany. To the Italian leader Benito Mussolini, Hitler wrote that deciding to attack Soviet Russia was “the most difficult decision of my life.” And even though it meant engaging Germany in a two-front war, something he had specifically warned against in Mein Kampf, this was a decision he never regretted. Hitler’s strike against the Soviet Union, code-named “Barbarossa,” has often been called his worst single military blunder because the immense clash he unleashed ended four years later, in May 1945, with his suicide in his Berlin command post, Soviet forces hoisting the Red hammer-and-sickle banner above the Reichstag, and Germany’s unconditional surrender. Hitler’s “Barbarossa” assault is often, but simplistically, portrayed as a treacherous and unprovoked surprise attack against a peaceable ally, motivated by greed, dreams of empire, loathing of Russians and other Slavic peoples, and visceral hatred of Communism. Today, 60 years later, German and Russian historians continue to grapple with the origins of this mightiest military clash in history. Because Hitler’s proclamation of June 22, 1941, helps to explain the German leader’s motives for turning against Soviet Russia, it is a document of historic importance.
