Members of the U-N Human Rights Council have slammed Israeli atrocities against Palestinians.

The criticism came during a meeting in the Swiss city of Geneva to assess the human rights record of each country. In the session, the South African delegate said Israel is QUOTE the only apartheid state in the world. Jordan, the U-A-E, Iran, Russia, and Malaysia called for an end to Israel’s occupation of Palestinian territories and a halt to expansion of Israeli settlements. The U-N members also denounced Tel Aviv for the displacement of Palestinians and the demolition of their homes. The criticism drew strong reaction from Israel with its ambassador calling the UN rights forum biased over its treatment of Palestinians.
