It is sometimes said, even by critics usually endeavouring to be objective in their judgments, that National Socialism has abolished law in Germany and has substituted arbitrariness in its place. Those who hold that view must be completely ignorant of the principles maintained by National Socialism and of the conditions actually existing in Germany. The new German State is based upon the axiom that law is one of the main pillars supporting the solidarity of the nation and the political structure representing it. More than that, a conception of law deeply rooted in the nation’s life and recognised as binding by every citizen is the foundation of the country’s entire civilisation.

Ο Eθνικοσοσιαλισμός, πιστεύει ότι υπάρχουν δύο τρόποι να ζήσεις και συνεπώς, δύο τύποι κοινωνικής συμβίωσης. Από τη μία έχουμε τον υλιστικό τρόπο διαβίωσης, όπου τα άτομα επιδιώκουν την ευτυχία μέσω της απόκτησης υλικών αγαθών και πλούτου. Από την άλλη υπάρχει ο δρόμος προς την αρίστευση, του ιδεαλισμού –  ή της ευγένειας – με τα άτομα να επιδιώκουν ιδεαλιστικούς σκοπούς πέρα από τις βασικές υλικές ανάγκες. Ο Εθνικοσοσιαλισμός, πιστεύει ότι ο υλιστικός τρόπος ζωής είναι παρηκμασμένος – σπατάλη χρόνου, σπατάλη του εξελικτικού δυναμικού του ανθρώπου.

ΑΥΤΟΚΙΝΗΤΟΔΡΟΜΟΙ ΣΤΟ ΤΡΙΤΟ ΡΑΪΧ
 

Οι πρώτοι αυτοκινητόδρομοι στον κόσμο κατασκευάστηκαν στην Εθνικοσοσιαλιστική Γερμανία. Τους εμπνεύστηκε ο Αδόλφος Χίτλερ. Τα βιβλία που μελέτησε τον εκπαίδευσαν σε πολλές πτυχές του αστικού και οδικού σχεδιασμού και διέθετε μία έξοχη ικανότητα να απλοποιεί τα σύνθετα προβλήματα και το χάρισμα να κρατά τις ιδέες του σε αρμονία με την φύση. Το όνειρό του για φαρδείς, ασφαλείς και όμορφους δρόμους, τον οδήγησαν στην μελέτη γεφυρών και αρχιτεκτονικής. Αργότερα, ενέκρινε προσωπικά τα σχέδια για τις γέφυρες και προκήρυσσε διαγωνισμούς όπου το καλύτερο σχέδιο κέρδιζε χρήματα και γόητρο.
