A 27-year-old Sudanese political refugee was arrested in Clermont Ferrand, Puy de Dôme, early Friday morning at around 4:45 a.m., according to police sources. He is accused of approaching an 18-year-old woman who had just left a nightclub, leading her to a secluded area on rue Sainte-Claire and then forcing her to engage in sexual intercourse. The victim managed to escape, and the suspect fled the scene. However, a passer-by was able to apprehend him. The traumatized young woman was taken to the hospital (CHU), while the suspect was taken into custody. An investigation has been launched.
