Washington dispatched additional troops to bolster security on the Mexican border amidst the looming arrival of thousands of Central American migrants, footage filmed at the Hildalgo border crossing in Texas on Saturday shows.

The troops can be seen laying 300 meters of barbed wire at the Hildalgo border crossing with Mexico.

Additionally, US Soldiers from the 937th Route Clearance Company, 20th Engineer Battalion, and 36th Engineer Brigade arrived at the Davis-Monthan Air Force Base in Tucson in Arizona and deployers from the 89th Military Police Brigade, 41st Engineering Company, 19th Engineering Battalion arrived at Valley International Airport in Harlingen to provide additional support to the Department of Homeland Security and US Customs and Border Protection at the US-Mexico border.

Operation Faithful Patriot was launched on October 26 to provide military assistance to US Customs and Border Protection agency at the US-Mexican border, where thousands of Central American migrants will attempt to enter US soil.
